Removing Students from a Class

Follow these instructions to remove one or more students from an individual class. This will not remove the students’ accounts from the platform, but it will cause them to lose access to any books associated with the class they are being removed from.

1. Click the Manage button in the top right corner of the screen. Select the Classes option from the dropdown menu.



2. You should now be on the Manage Classes page. Find the row of the class you want to remove the student(s) from. Click the Actions button in that row and select Roster from the dropdown menu.



3. You should now be on the Manage Roster page for the individual class. Verify that the class name in the Class field is correct and that the Show field displays "Student in Class".



4. Find any students in the list that you are planning to remove. Select the checkbox(es) next to their name(s). If you want to remove all the students in the list, select the checkbox in the heading row of the list to the left of the words “Last Name”.



5. Once you’ve selected all the students you want to remove, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.



6. A popup window should appear summarizing the removal action you are about to take. If everything looks correct, click the Remove Students button.



7. A success message should appear indicating that the student(s) have been removed from the class. The removed student(s) should no longer appear in the Students Rostered to this Class list. You may need to refresh the page to see the change.
