The Gradebook report shows a high-level view of a class’s
grades. Follow the instructions below to better understand the Gradebook.
Find the Gradebook
To find the Gradebook report, click the Reports tab in the
upper right corner of the page and select Gradebook from the dropdown menu.
Filter the Gradebook
Use the fields at the top of the page to filter the
grades.
Class: To view the grades of a different class, click into
the field labeled Class and select the desired class from the dropdown menu.
Student: By default, the grades of all students will be
shown. To only view the grades of one student, click into the field labeled
Student and select that student from the dropdown menu.
View: Clicking into the field labeled View will give you
different options for grades to view. You can either view the grades of
assignments or of standards, and either can be viewed either as points or
percentages.
Note that if you are viewing the assignment points option,
the total points are displayed at the top of the column under the assignment name.
Understand the Gradebook
The students in your class will be listed in the
Students column on the left. The assignments that have been assigned will be
listed in their own columns, with each student’s grade on that assignment
displayed in that student’s row. The class averages are shown in the final row.
The key at the bottom of the page indicates what the
different colors and icons mean.
Red Triangle: A red triangle means that the student has submitted
work that hasn’t been graded yet.
Gray Flag: A gray flag indicates that the student has not
yet started an assignment. After the due date passes, the grade will change to
zero.
Green Flag: A green flag indicates that the student has
started the assignment but has not yet submitted it.
Blue Check: A blue checkmark indicates that the student has
completed the assignment. This applies to non-gradable assignments.
