Clear Cache and Cookies

When you use a web browser such as Chrome, the browser saves some information from websites you visit using cache and cookies. Usually this improves performance, but occasionally the information stored needs to be updated. This can be accomplished by clearing cache and cookies.

Check browser support sites for the most up-to-date instructions on how to clear cache and cookies.

Please note: Clearing cache and cookies may log you out of some websites.
In Chrome:
  1. Open Chrome on your computer.
  2. In the top right corner, click on the three vertical gray dots.
  3. Select More tools and then Clearing browsing data...
  4. Choose a time range at the top. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Make sure the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files are checked.
  6. Click the Clear data button.
In Edge:
  1. Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
  2. In the top right corner, click the three horizontal dots.
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Select Privacy, search, and services from the menu on the left.
  5. Scroll down to the Clear browsing data section.
  6. Click the Choose what to clear button.
  7. Choose a time range at the top. To delete everything, select All time.
  8. Make sure the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files are checked.
  9. Click the Clear now button.
In Safari (Mac):
  1. Open Safari on your computer.
  2. Select Safari and then Settings.
  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Find the Cookies and website data section and click the Manage Website Data... button.
  5. Select the relevant website(s), then click Remove or Remove All.
In Safari (iPad or iPhone):
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll until you find Safari and select it.
  3. Scroll until you find the Clear History and Website Data button and select it.
  4. Select Clear History and Data.
