Assignment Report

Assignment Report

The Assignment report shows the class proficiency for each assignment assigned so far. It also allows you to view how your students did on every individual question in an assignment, as well as the standards covered by an assignment.

Find and Filter the Assignment Report

To view the Assignment report, please follow the instructions below:

1. Click the Reports tab in the top right corner of the page and select Assignment from the dropdown menu.

2. You should now be on a page with a list of assignment reports. Filter down the assignment reports you want to see using the fields at the top.

Class: Make sure you are viewing the correct class’s information by clicking into the field labeled Class. Select the class you’d like to view from the dropdown menu.

Student: The default reports show the information for all the students in the class, with grades shown as class averages. To see an individual student’s assignment reports, click into the field labeled Student and select that student’s name from the list.

Filter: To filter the assignments shown by a date range, click into the field labeled Filter and select the number of days you’d like to filter by.

Understand the Assignment Report

The information below explains how to view and understand an assignment report.

Class Proficiency

The Class Proficiency column breaks down the class scores into four categories: less than 65%, 65-75%, 80-89%, and over 90%. The number of students that scored within each category is shown in the category’s corresponding color.

Note that if you have filtered the report to one student, the Class Proficiency column will be replaced by a Student Score column showing the exact percentage earned by that student.

If you hover over one of the numbers shown in the Class Proficiency column, a popup will appear showing the students that scored in that range, their point totals, and their individual percentages.

Class Average

The Class Average column shows the average percentage earned by all the students in the class on the assignment.

Item Analysis

The Item Analysis button is shown in the Action column. Clicking the button will take you to a detailed, question-by-question analysis of the assignment.

Click into the Student field to select an individual student’s work to look at. The default option is to view all students together.

Item Analysis Overview

An overview of the assignment is shown near the top of the item analysis. The Class Proficiency breakdown is shown on the left, with the Standards Covered by the assignment listed out below. The Class Average is shown on the right, along with the number of students that were assigned the assignment.

Item Analysis Question Breakdown

Under the overview, the assignment is broken out into individual questions. For each question, the number of students that earned each possible number of points is shown. You can also hover over a colored box to see which students earned that number of points.

The standards addressed by the question are also listed under Standards Covered. Click the standard name for more details.
